La Tarias gite is only available in low and mid season outside of school holidays. The gite is the main house at La Tarais but excludes the annex (which has an additional 4 bedrooms).
The gite at La Tarais is part of a 16th century longere in a countryside setting. Large gardens provide plenty of room for children to play safely. The gite has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining room.
The dining room is south facing with oak tables, beamed ceilings and a large fireplace with wood burner for adding a bit of cheer.
This room forms the 'heart' of the house
The dining room door leads out to the garden and large terraced area with teak tables and chairs for 'alfresco' dinners on those long summer nights.
There is a CD, Tape and Radio in the Dining Room
Leading off the dining room, the fitted oak kitchen is charming. You can feel secure that the kitchen 20sq.m (215sq.ft) is sufficiently equipped to deal with large groups. You have at your disposal a dishwasher, freezer, fridge, oven/grill/hob, microwave, food processor, toaster, kettle, cafettieres and plenty of pots and pans of all sizes.
The sitting room is on the first floor 25sq m. (269 sq.ft.). A room full of character and warmth. With beamed ceilings comfortable sofas and easy chairs it is a great TV room (with English & French channels, video and dvd player). There is also lots of reading material and views over the garden. Perfect for those quiet moments.
All the bedrooms have double beds. One room has a queen size bed.
All bedrooms measure over 12 sq meters.(129 sq ft)
On the top floor of the house there are two rooms: One double with an additional single bed and One double with 2 additional single beds.
These two rooms share a bathroom.
Both rooms have beautiful 400 year old exposed beamed ceilings.
The bathrooms are all equipped with modern spacious showers, wc's and wash hand basins. One bathroom has a bath.
