Most of our visitor's first impressions of France will be arriving at Saint Malo but please don't write it of it as a rough sea port, St.Malo is a glamorous resort for the French and British alike. Within the ramparts you will discover the ancient dwellings of pirates and smugglers as well as some fashionable shops, bars and restaurants. |
Throughout the year Saint Malo hosts various nautical events the best of which is the "Tall Ships Race" in the height of the summer (www.grand-voiliers.com). So don't forget your stripy breton sweater and yellow wellies.
The fruit and vegetable market is on Friday morning.
The "Grand Aquarium" is just outside the town on the way to Dinard.
